We free camped the night at Curtin Springs about 100kms from Ayers
Rock Resort at Yulara. This is a great place to free camp, lots of travellers
stop off here some even use this as their base and go into the rock from here.
You can pay $3 and have a shower, which is an experience. The shower rose is a
tin can with holes in the bottom of it and the water spurts out in all
directions. You can virtually stand underneath it and not get wet but it was
hot.

Great place to see millions
of stars and a glimpse at Mount Connor aka fooluru.
 |
| From our spot in the free camp site. As you can see we had lots of company which was good. Mt Connor not too far away |
Mount Connor is a flat topped mountain as compared to Uluru
which is a monolith.
 |
| You can see why many people get fooled that this is Uluru if you hadn't seen pictures of the Rock before. |
Beautiful sunset after a long day.
 |
| Looking forward to the west coast for spectacular sunsets, however, here in The Red Centre they are pretty impressive as well. |
